Innovation Grants
GEF is proud to support GUSD educators who are pioneers in teaching. By submitting an innovative idea, teachers have an opportunity to receive support for their impact on students’ learning. These grants are awarded annually. Read more.
Lemon Run
The Lemon Run celebrates the Goleta Valley community while raising funds for Innovation Grants. Unfortunately, Lemon Run 2020 is postponed. Donations are still needed to support Innovation Grants. Read more.
Professional Development Scholarships
Based on the numerous request from our GUSD educators, GEF created the professional development scholarship fund. This fund allows teachers to pursue opportunities to further their own education and stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging academic research. Thank you to the Williams-Corbett Foundation for providing the initial investment to launch this fund. Read more.

Whole Child Education through School Gardens
Our school gardens present an incredible opportunity to facilitate educating the whole child while she learns to integrate math, science, art, health, and social studies with the natural world. Students thrive in outdoor learning environments as their abilities to focus, cooperate, socialize, and gain self-confidence soar. Read more.
